What to do with the Halloween Candy?

Hubby and I love Halloween and Parades.  Our kids are allowed one piece of candy for dessert for lunch and 2 pieces of candy for dessert for supper.  Parades and Holidays mean that we don't have to buy candy for this purpose.  Now, please know that I do occasionally bake and they usually chose that over candy but our children have two adults who like their chocolate...so we always have SOME around.

In the social networks today I've been hearing lots of parents lamenting that their kids have too much candy and they are hearing a lot of whining or have children who are not feeling well as they binge on this sugar and sub-sugar stuff.

I don't know what that is like since we have always kept a very tight system on our candy stashes but I have run across these super cool ideas.

I think I might be adding a few school topics to our list of things to do this week (by the way after my kids were up last night until nearly 11 after a late evening meeting for church I have declared today "Do Nothing Day."   I LOVE HOMESCHOOLING!!  Granted, mom's NEVER actually get to "Do Nothing" but.......   I'm doing only the bare minimum and enjoying it!

Here are some links with ideas and school ideas to do with that candy!

Candy science:
Misc. or Grouped Uses:

Art:
Math:
Cooking:
And that is just a few.  If you would like to find more I found much success in googling (swag bucks was making me work too hard) "Left over Halloween Candy" and then the topic such as "math" or "science"  :)

Happy Candy Disposal!  :)
